What counts as an affiliate link here

Every tour card, every booking button and every availability panel on this site is an affiliate link to GetYourGuide, a licensed online travel agency. They carry our partner id so a booking can be attributed here. Ordinary links between pages of this site are not affiliate links, and there are no others: no display advertising, no sponsored placements, no paid reviews, and no operator has bought a position, a phrase or a star.

Those booking links live in the page bodies only. The navigation and the footer of this site link to nothing but other pages of this site, which is a deliberate rule and is explained on the about page alongside the other one — that no page here prints a price.

The thing this disclosure exists to tell you

The single most useful fact about this gallery earns us nothing. The audio guide is included with admission, in Italian, English, French and Spanish, subject to availability, and it is narrated by the owner of the palazzo. Several listings put a commentary in their headline; the ticket desk offers one to everybody holding any ticket. We have written that on its own page and repeated it wherever it is relevant, and every time somebody reads it we earn less rather than more. We would rather you arrived knowing.

The same applies to the door. The gallery sells its own tickets at its own office, and a reservation here buys a 30-minute entry slot and the certainty of one rather than a place that would otherwise be gone. When booking ahead genuinely helps says so plainly, including the cases where it does not.

What it does not change

Not the ratings, not the ordering, and not what we tell people to avoid. The clearest proof is on the reviews hub: the highest-rated listing on this site, a 5.0, is written up with its sample size — nineteen reviews — said out loud in the first paragraph, and the listing we recommend most often is the plainest and least exciting of the six. One of the six gets no review page at all, and the hub explains why instead of quietly leaving it out.

What we are not selling

We are not the gallery. The collection is privately owned by the Doria Pamphilj family, held since 2013 by the Doria Pamphilj Trust, and this site has no connection to them. We do not sell entry, we cannot reserve a slot and we cannot get anybody through the door. If any page here ever reads as though we can, it is wrong and we want to know: contact us.
